Jordan's Commuter

No longer the new guy, now a shop staple, Jordan Olson is a convert to all things good and fun. Big cushy tires, big wide bars, big cushy grips... When he started wrenching last summer he was on a Surly with a 26” rear wheel and 700c front but decided to restore balance with this beautiful Specialized Crossroads.

The purple to maroon fade shines through even in the winter when the low sun is doing everything it can to ruin photos in front of Meet the Moon’s cinnamon roll sign. The build is centered around a SRAM 11-speed groupset and the grippiest mattresses known to man, Rene Herse tires. Steel rides real (good) and a pair of Barlow Passes only help get that ride even more real gooder.

Just make things a little confusing, PDW supplies the best fenders and bird-shaped bottle cages while PNW provides the best orange handlebars and grips that are just black. That’s Portland Design Works and Pacific Northwest Components for those keeping score at home. The result is a ballin’ budget bike to blitz around the block on. And just check out that quill converter!
